~~~What have I become?~~~
Almost months has passed since the nightmares ended. 2D was a bit more stable, but he was still frightened. What if Satan was right and Murdoc didn't love him? What if. What if. What if. Those two small words haunted him.  Each time they passed in the halls, they wouldn't even speak.  They were far too busy with the album. They had just released it.  Danger Mouse was really a great help for the album.  Interviews were being requested and fan letters were coming in at full pace. Back to popularity.
Finally, it was getting tiring.  2D wanted to spend time with Murdoc, even if it was only for a moment.
After gathering his melodica, 2D headed down to the carpark, yawning. Tired. His senses were heightened, so he could smell and hear everything.  The echoes in the hall, the birds chirping outside,  Murdoc's stereo turned up. "..."  He turned to see the Winnebago's lights were on. "Hm."  The singer marched up to it and knocked on the door. "GO AWAY!"  The bassist growled in response. "Gh!"  The hair on 2D's neck stood on end. "...M-Mu'doc. We need to talk!"  The singer was getting agitated and angry about Murdoc's attitude. Grabbing the door handle, 2D opened the door quickly, storming in. "Oi!" He walked over to the couch and took the bass out of Murdoc's hands. "Wot the fuck?!" The bassist growled and glared at the singer, shaking. "Give it back!" "No! Listen to me! I've been lettin' ya get away wif not talkin' to me for weeks at a time. But, I'm gettin' sick of it, Muds! Stop ignorin' me." Murdoc's hand wrapped around 2D's arm, pulling him close. "...I ain' ignorin' ya now, am I?"  The singer's mouth opened and he was silent. "..." His cheeks heated up at the closeness, as if wanting it.  But that didn't last too long. "M-Mur--Oof!" A fist crashed into the singer's stomach, hard. "Geh!" His knees buckled and collapsed under him. His free hand was clung to Murdoc's worn shirt as the bassist had hold of his other arm. "..."  2D shakily looked up. "W-Why...?"
Murdoc grunted and flung 2D against the counter of his kitchen. "Don't. Touch. MY. Bass!"  The younger of the two shook with fear and pain as he hit the counter. "Unh!"  He looked up at Murdoc with teary eyes. "B-But...Muds."  A hand slapped his right cheek and backhanded his left. "Eh! Stop!" The singer was lifted up by his hair quickly. "Ow!" The bassist went to the door of the Winnebago and threw him out. "Don' come in for a while, D!"  After, he slammed the door shut, locking it.
"..M-Mu'doc!" He hopped to his feet and slammed his hands on the door. "Let me in!"  His face was stinging and his back was bruising, but all he wanted to do was talk to Murdoc. Talk to him about their relationship.  It was going down the drain. "...Nn!"  He slid to the floor and cried, finding it difficult to keep his newfound cool. Tears leaked down his face and landed on the ground with a silent plop. "Ya...don' love me no more..."
After about 20 minutes, the singer slowly got to his feet, taking to the path to his own room, almost tripping down his stairs. "Gh.."  When he opened the door, Lucinda looked up at him from the floor, which was littered with paper and pill bottles. "..L-..."  His shoulders sagged and he got on one knee, silently picking up the mess, getting an odd stare from his daughter. "Le's not be doin' vis righ' now, luv.."  2D gave a weak smile and kissed the top of her head, setting the stuff back in his drawer. "A'right..time fer you to get clean. Baf time."  He reached over and picked his child up, getting an immediate squirm. "Jus' like yer dad. Ya don' like to be clean, do ya?" The only response he got was a few small kicks of struggle. "Heh. Let's go."  The singer carried her up the stairs and past the Winnebago, heading to the showers.  One there, he stripped himself of his clothes, leaving his boxers on.  Next, Lucinda was placed on the floor while he went over to the water to start it up in the small tub. "Nn. Cold."  Adjust. "Ow! Hot!" Adjust adjust. "...Ahh..jus' righ'."
~~
Murdoc had gathered up his bass and sat back on the couch, strumming it quietly. "...idiot."  His fingers danced over the strings as he came up with a tune of his own. "Mh..hn hn hn hhuunh."  Beady, red eyes were watching from the corner of the room, observing the bassist. "..."  Cortez watched him with an occasional  flap of his wings.  It seemed the black-haired man didn't even acknowledge him, save for the small glances every so often. "Hm hm." He started thinking of 2D and his strums became quickly, as if angrier. "Gh.!"  His red eye brightened and he tossed his bass aside, getting to his feet. "That idiot's gotten me pissed.."  He grabbed his boots and slipped them on, heading straight for the door. "Hm." Murdoc heard Cortez's wings behind him, making him certain that he was following. "Now...where is he?"  Observing the carpark, the bassist stepped out and went over and down the stairs to 2D's room. "...Not in here."  Holding onto the door frame, the wheels were turning in his head. "Aha.." Walking over, he opened his drawers and found the singer's journal. "Kekeke..."  He sat on the bed and started reading, finding important secretive stuff in the journal. "Ooh. Haw!"  A few of the submissions were about Murdoc and it ticked him off. 'He's out of control and doesn't care about his health.'
After reading his fill, Murdoc threw the journal across the room and stood up, cracking his knuckles, looking to the left to see Cortez on the arm of the chair in the corner. "Braawk?" The bassist chuckled and turned, grabbing the underside of 2D's bed, using all his strength to flip it as well as toss if across the room. He smirked as it crashed into the stuff on the right side of the bed, hearing things break.  Lucinda's crib and playpen were now on their side, having been pushed.  With a swipe of Murdoc's hand, 2D's beside table was cleared of everything. "Grah!"  Cortez's wings fluttered in surprise at Murdoc's hostility. "Rah!"  He flew out of there as fast as possible, leaving Murdoc to destroy, which he continued to do.  He grabbed a keyboard from the wall and threw it at the opposite wall, laughing as he heard the crash. "Hahaha!"
Soon, he became exhausted, resting on the floor and panting. "Shite..I'm out of shape."  Pulling out a cigarette, Murdoc lit it and took a hearty puff. "Ahh~" He felt content with himself, despite the fact that there was guilt coursing through his veins.  Just as he closed his eyes, he heard quick footsteps and a small gasp. "..." He waited, finally hearing what he wanted, a scream. "AAAGH!"
Smirking, the bassist opened his eyes and looked at the shocked singer in front of him, seeing him in nothing more than a towel.  Lucinda, dressed in a baby night gown, was looking around the room with wide eyes, clinging to 2D some. "M-...Mu'doc...wot did you do?!" 2D's lips quivered as he saw his prized possesions smashed. "...Why?"  Murdoc got to his feet, laughing lowly. "I dunno, mate. I'm just...out of control. And I just don' care about my health. "  Those words make the younger man's blood run cold. "...I-..."  He took a step back, ready to run, but Murdoc was slightly quicker, rushing over and grabbing his arm. "Thass right. I read yer journal, D.  You seem to be worried about me. Well. Don't be.  I don't need to be babied like Lucinda here." He gave a small pat to the child's head, a bit too rough, making her flinch.
"Mu'doc..Let me go and get out!"  The bassist actually thought about doing that, but then shook his head. "Nah.."  His eye glowed like fire. "Ah!" 2D felt the grip on his arm tighten. "Ow! Stop!"  Murdoc's other hand went down on 2D's shoulder and he smirked. "Hmm...no." Suddenly, the singer went flying out of the room and hit the stairs, falling backwards on them. "Ack!"  Lucinda started whining. "Stop! Yer gonna 'urt 'er!" Both of the singer's lanky arms went around his daughter. "Sh.."
The sound of boots made his heart race. "N-No more.."  A rough hand landed on his neck, wrapping tightly around it, suffocating him. "Gh! Gck! Ack!" Tears sprang from his dark eyes,  and he was forced to look Murdoc in the face. "Mk!"
With all his might, Murdoc threw 2D into the wall, wincing as he heard the singer's head collide with it. "Ooh!"  The lanky man's body slacked and his arms let go of Lucinda, letting her fall to the concrete. "Eh!"  The singer's body fell forward and he collapsed on the floor, unconscious. Murdoc looked at his daughter, watching as she squirmed, wondering if she was going to pass out as well.  Concrete was hard, after all. All he could hear was quiet whimpering sounds. "Mh..Mh.."
His cigarette was brought back to his mouth and he waited, being surprised by her sudden outburst of crying. "Waaaahh!" "Shite!"  He walked around Lucinda and picked 2D up, feeling his head.  A lump.  "Mrh." He dragged the singer down to his room, setting him on the floor. "Sleep tight, dumbshit."  Then, he left the room, picking his child up carefully in his arms. "Let's go."  She stopped all the noise she made, until they reached the carpark. "Wah!" "Shut up. I'm takin' ya somewhere."  The Satanist went over to the stairs, heading for the 1st floor. "Fuckin' A."    The walk seemed so long, yet it was actually quite short, due to the bassist's running.
As he treked on,  emotion returned to Murdoc, making him uncomfortable. "Shite..wot've I done?"   Something was controlling him, making him do things to his own husband. "I dunno if I can fix this."  Once he made it to where he was headed, Murdoc knocked on the door loudly. "...hurry up..."
Lucinda squirmed in his arms, wanting away from him. "Nh!" "Stop.."
Within that minute, the door opened and Noodle looked out. "..Murdoc?"  "Yeah. I need ya to do somethin' for me. Watch over Lucinda for the night, yeah?  There's..somethin' goin' on."  He grumbled. "You still have the baby bag in there, right?"   The dumbfounded guitarist nodded her head. "H-Hai. What's goin-" The door was shut quickly after Lucinda was handed over. "...Hm." She looked over the baby to see scratches and a few cuts on her body. "Oh my! What happened to you..?"  Noodle went over to the bag and slowly started to take care of her wounds.
~~
Making his way back to the carpark, Murdoc took a deep breath, contemplating what just happened. ...He'd nearly caused 2D to have more brain damage. "...I need to leave."  He stepped into the Winnebago and grabbed his keys, turning everything off as well.  The bassist jumped out of the mobile home and thought. "..." Couples aren't supposed to do this to each other. They're supposed to love each other no matter what.  What's done is done, though.
Almost to the point of tears, Murdoc went to the Geep and got in it. "I'm sorry, Stuart. Forgive me."  Starting the car, the Satanist left the confines of Kong, leaving only a dust trail behind him.
